eczo.bike Converts your Bicycle into an eBike

A bicyclist and an engineer from eastern Russia have created a product to help you keep up with the electric revolution, without having to buy a new e-bike. The eczo.bike is a universal kit that can convert most bicycles into e-bike in about an hour. The powerful mid-drive system can climb up to 30 degree inclines (without cycling assist). The eczo.bike can accelerate to 28mph.

The kit comes with a management system that includes an on-board computer, control panel, twist-grip throttle, and pedal sensor. An app is also works with eczo.bike that gives users diagnostics, software updates, navigation, tracking, and even an anti-theft system. There are two battery options to choose from – 570 watts and 1000 watts. Charge time is between one to two hours, and the battery can be locked by pin-code on the on-board computer.

"After more than 100 user tests and a lot of customer feedback, in 2017 our team made an improved product with a 2-stage gear and even higher torque that make it possible for bicyclists to use all their front gears (other mid-drive e-bikes have only one front gear, so when not using electrical power, you can only change rear gears." Oleg Evseenkov, CEO eczo.bike

Key Features Include:

  • Powerful mid-drive capable to ride up 30-40 degree slopes without bicyclist’s assist
  • Capacious (1 kWh) fast-charging (80% in 1 hour) Li-ion battery for 50+ mi rides
  • Lightweight (adds less than 22 lbs with big battery) and ideally balanced
  • Unique tunable design
  • Fits 80% of bicycles (excluding folding ones and with very curved frames).

To see if the kit will work with your bicycle, you can email eczo.bike a photo of your bike and they'll let you know if the kit will work. eczo.bike plans to launch a crowd funding campaign later this year, but you can learn more about these versatile kits by visiting their website. The price during campaign will be $1200-1300 for version with 570 Wh battery and $1600-1700 for 1 kWh battery. Delivery is planned in June-July. eczo.bike
